Our Support

We ensure you have all the support & hospitality to help you along the way. You'll get food & drink to keep your energy levels up - with covered facilities & plenty of clean toilets every 12 - 15km for you to rest, recuperate, and energise as you go!

We've been organising endurance challenge events for many years - and we understand that the right levels of support need to be provided in order to give you the best shot at making it across the finish line.

Rest Stops & Food / drinks

The route is divided into 4 stages with major Rest Stops approx every 25-30km, and mid-points between each rest stop every 12-13km with a full supply of snacks, drinks & a chance for you to recuperate with medics, doctors and support staff. At every Rest Stop & Mid-Point Stop there will be a vast array of snacks (savory, sweet, bakery items, fruit) along with water-refill, energy drinks & bars, teas & coffee. Signage & Mapping

The route, with map links and GPX files, will be released into the Participant Area of the website, and challengers will receive a full Route Map at the start of the event. This is really only for reference as the course will be fully marked with pink arrows, distance markers, and hazard warnings - and with reflective tape and glow sticks during night stages. You’ll always know where you are, and where you’re heading all the time – plus Event Marshalls and an ‘Event Control Room’ – just in case!

Keeping Track of You

We will utilise a timing system to log your progress through every Rest Stop as you make your way to your finish line - not only does this mean that we can safely manage the challenge but of course you will be able to collect your timing results, and a finishers certififcate once you have crossed the finish line!

Trek Masters

For those who are taking on the 100km, we set out groups to walk together from the half-way point through the hours of darkness - led by our experienced 'Trek Masters'. We do't allow anyone to walk alone at night, and highly encourage individuals to join others and take the challenge on together along the way. Our Trek masters will depart at a regular schedule through the hours of darkness from all of the rest stops, generally they are experienced Ultra Challenge walkers.

Baggage Services

Runners recieve a free baggage transfer within their entry (10kg max)- and if you are a walker or jogger we have a number of different baggage services available to either take your bags to your finish line, or if you are taking on the Full Challenge you can book a bag to go to the half way point, and then onto the finish. We have changing rooms available at the half way stop - so you may wish to freshen up with a change of clothes before taking on the 2nd half. These services are payable cash on the day.

Shuttle Services

At the end of your challenge, there will be a regular free shuttle service taking you to the nearest (and most convenient) train station for you to either travel back to the startline, or back home. There will also be shuttles operating during the night stages, for those who wish to withdraw and make their way towards the finish.

We will also be operating a optional bookable service from the Half Way stop back to the startline which you will be able to book onto closer to the challenge.

Supporters Welcome!

We know what a difference it can if you have friends, family and supporters following your challenge and meeting you at rest stops to provide encouragement, support and a fresh pair of socks! Therefore we encourage your friends and family to meet you at the Major Rest Stops and there will be free parking. However some of the smaller rest stops will not be able to accommodate for supporters (due to restrictions of parking) these will be detailed in the Challenge Manual early so you can plan your challenge.

We will also be selling hot food for supporters also at our Major Rest Stops - which can be booked in advance.
